The year started with the first London Super Comic Con and it was awesome.
Oh and of course the OUC lot were there too…they aren’t important…
Good con was good, got to judge the cosplay competition, which was brilliant fun, hung around with very cool people, confused a lot of punters in my Namor costume and generally had a good laugh XD Can’t wait for next years (especially coz it’s on my birthday).
From there we move to Bristol Comic Con and Kapow, as they were only a week apart from each other.
Bristol was quiet but a good place for me to test run Hawkeye and for OUC to launch Hypergirl, the first TBP of the Weirdsville Universe :D
As for my Hawkeye costume, I won “best in character” as him, which I’m not sure if that’s an award for my poor acting or the costume XD Also met up with some good mates, Matt and Dom :)
Here is a small cute cosplayer…
Then we had Kapow! which was AMAZING!! Ceci came over again for it, which was really great (as well as meaning we could spend some time in Bath together) and we cosplayed as Black Widow and Hawkeye together.
I also got to meet and hang out with my friend and one of my all time favourite cosplayers Sina :D
General awesomeness with Ian and David ensued for the rest of the time, as it always does.
It was also the debut of Steve Bear…if you haven’t watched this video, I suggest you do so. (click here)
And here’s Kerry, Ceci and Clair being morons XD
Then lots of Uni stuff happened…which was fun and mildly stressful…so I won’t talk about that.
THEN London Film and Comic Con happened and my writing debut! Shrapnel issue 1 came out, which was amazing! Issue 2, hopefully will be out…er…soon if anyone’s interested XD haha
ANYWAY! Ceci and Janne came over again, which was great and one of my oldest friends, Rah, made her first proper cosplay and came too :D With a little bit of last minute help from Devi, Team Avatar was born!
This was such a fun group to be part of…I want to do it again. MOAR AVATAR!
More hotel times, hanging out, eating chips, though me and Ian were treated to dinner cooked by Ceci and Janne which was amazing of them…they are very good cooks :) Definitely needs to be done again. In fact all of LFCC needs to be done again. Brilliantly good fun!
Oh and of course, Kerry Berry was there. Look at her beautiousness!
Um…yeah…stuff happened in August, I went on holiday with my family, which was nice :) And I moved house…but lets not go into that, instead have picture of me and my sister in a canoe.
And back to conventions! The Entertainment and Media Show was next up…
Although I got to wear a new costume that I had been wanting to make for YEARS and entirely blame on the insane amount of Resident Evil I played during my first few months at Uni, the show itself was a bit of a bust. Of course it was nice to hang out with Ian, Dave and Mike (me and Ian got an apartment…best. idea. ever) but it wasn’t a great show :/
Nevermind, I got to be a ghost buster XD
More Uni, more life, Cardiff Comic Con, which I have no pictures from, and we finally get to Thought Bubble :)I love Thought Bubble. It’s the fucking best. Good con, good friends, great party!
I remade Kid Loki, finally, which was possibly my best idea all year. I love being him so much! I pretty much raided my bank for TB, costume wise and merch wise. So many sketches, including a free A3 one from Phil Noto (I died, I swear). Of course, the usual faces where there and it’s always a joy to hang out with the convention crowd :D
Here are some silly pictures
And now it is Christmas :) But I’ve already spammed you enough with the pics from the shoot, so I shan’t do that any more…
So, see you all in 2013!
