I'm a writer and artist, working mainly in comic books, and living in the South East of England (although I'm technically half Scottish and half English).

I'm the managing editor of Orang Utan Comics, group editor of AAM/Markosia, writer of Alpha Gods, Hypergirl and Hero: 9-5, and also do freelance inking and lettering work for the likes of AAM/Markosia, Slave Labour, Top Shelf, Image, Marvel/Panini and I letter the official Doctor Who graphic novels for BBC Books.

Interestingly, when the Alpha Gods iPhone app was going through the approval stage, Apple made us edit out a single bare nipple. When I went in to edit the panel in question, it turned out that the nipple did, in fact, only consist of a single pixel. One pixel.

Oddly, I believe that the original version of that panel is currently available on Comixology (the standalone Alpha Gods iPhone app didn’t prove hugely successful, but it was worth a try, not sure if it’s still on the app store, but feel free to look).

Which means there are new releases on Comixology, including Alpha Gods: Emergence!

Get the full graphic novel, including a ton of great extras, for only $4.99/£2.99!

Reading Hypergirl on Comixology. Just hit this panel and was struck by how much I like it, and how well my colours work with David’s art here. Really must do more Hypergirl…I do think that despite picking up an award people hugely underrate it.
