I'm a writer and artist, working mainly in comic books, and living in the South East of England (although I'm technically half Scottish and half English).

I'm the managing editor of Orang Utan Comics, group editor of AAM/Markosia, writer of Alpha Gods, Hypergirl and Hero: 9-5, and also do freelance inking and lettering work for the likes of AAM/Markosia, Slave Labour, Top Shelf, Image, Marvel/Panini and I letter the official Doctor Who graphic novels for BBC Books.

Um. Videogame evolution to the tune of 2D evolving into 3D. These graphics are 100,000 times more detailed than Crysis 2 or any leading game of today. How detailed is that? The individual grains of dirt on the ground have seperate geometry.

And how? By replacing polygons with atoms.

I don’t know how tighter we can make these graphics, man. They are off the CHAIN.

good grief

wow damn, that detail is insane

Looks dumb.

dumb or not, if this is a real demo of real technology and not just a venture-capital sinkhole made of pre-rendered dogfeathers and bearshit, i’d love to see what people will do with it once it starts looking a little nicer.

Between this and that Light Field Camera from Lytro, things are really looking pretty interesting for my non-comics related interests. Hopefully, this is real tech and not something that will end up either squelched or turn out to be vaporware.

This is pretty amazing…if you can get past the guy’s voice!
